Sony is hosting its latest state of play conference today. August 6, 2020 is the date announced by the company a few days ago. This conference has no newly released PS 5 related announcements. But it is focusing on new games for PS 4 and PS VR. Although, Sony PS 5 users are disappointed, but majority Sony fans are excited. As they want to see, What Sony has for current generation consoles.

When is the Sony state of play airing?

Sony’s State of Play event takes place on Thursday, August 6 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST (or Friday, August 7 at 6am AEST) and will be roughly 40 minutes long.

According to the Sony’s official announcement:-

Just to be super clear – there will be no PlayStation Studios updates in Thursday’s episode. There won’t be any updates around hardware, business, preorders, or dates either. Our focus is squarely on showcasing some upcoming games coming to the broader PlayStation ecosystem.”

What should you expect from latest Sony state of Play on August 6,2020?

Fans were expecting new PS 5 release date, price and pre order information. As this conference was speculated quite a while ago. So the rumors were circulating that Sony is announcing PS 5 release in upcoming State of Play in August. Similar information is also circulating regarding Microsoft’s latest XBOX. Fans were hoping to hear the announcements regarding both consoles in August. However, Sony says that there will be some check ins regarding previously announced PS 5 games.
